When it comes to facelifting and transforming stories, there are ideas that come to mind: making it funny and turning essays into a full book.  While these two things are quite different, they both have incredible value for any author to know how to do.

At HippoCamp: A Conference for Creative Nonfiction Writers, we are going to dive deep in both of those topics in hopes to create more well-rounded, confident, and skilled writers.  Whether brand new or a seasoned veteran, you won’t want to miss these two sessions.

The Humor Makeover: How to Take Your Existing Work and Make it Funny with Amy Fish and Lara Lillibridge

Let these two firecracker speakers, Fish and Lillibridge, boost your memoir to new heights with their humor makeover methods!  They’ll keep it light, but dig into the nitty gritty of pages to really make the story pop. Oh, and they will be utilizing “hypo allergenic non animal testing products.”  Just kidding.
